BACK to SCHOOL is now in full swing and back is the never ending quest for healthy lunch ideas. I always insisted on some kind of vegetable and/or fruit in my son's lunch. But when he was smaller, (he's 17 now!) I was usually concerned he would not eat the fresh items if they were "old." Keeping your vegetables and fruits the freshest in your refrigerator helps to keep them fresher in your child's lunches! Kids (adults too!) need to eat more fruit and veggie's daily!
Read the Yahoo Headline story below.

TIP: Several  Vege-Savers filled with bite-size, cut-up vegetables like carrots, celery, or even treats like sugar snap peas, make it easy to simply grab-and-fill as you make school lunches. Fruits will also stay better in a Vege-Saver for fresher and more appealing lunch ingredients!

HINT:
This is a great idea for "work" lunches too!

The study results are somewhat disappointing for champions of getting more fresh produce into school lunchrooms. . . Kids love sweets, and junk food is plentiful in schools, according to past surveys." To read the entire story on Yahoo go to: Kids & Veggies
